The real challenge
You worked too hard to guess your way through retirement.
For many people approaching retirement, the focus isn't on a single choice. It's about how all the important choices affect each other:
How do I turn what I've built into reliable retirement income?
Could I be leaving thousands in avoidable taxes on the table over the course of my retirement?
How do I plan for long-term care without overreacting or ignoring it?
How do I coordinate investments, protection, and legacy so nothing falls through the cracks?
What if I make a high-stakes mistake I can't easily undo?
If that sounds familiar, the answer isn't more noise. It's a
coordinated plan that connects what you have, what it's supposed to do, and what happens next.
What We help with
Five core planning areas. All
coordinated around your life.
Retirement Income & Distribution Planning
Turn what you've built into a withdrawal and income strategy you can rely on.
Investment Strategy & Wealth Management
Align your wealth and assets with your goals, timeline, and the income plan that supports them.
Tax-Aware Retirement Planning
Coordinate withdrawals, Roth conversions, and account strategy to keep more of what's yours.
Protection & Long-Term Care Planning
Evaluate insurance and long-term care only when they genuinely strengthen the broader plan.
Legacy & Family Stewardship
Organize beneficiaries, transfer priorities, and family impact so nothing gets left to guesswork.
See how the five work together.
What this looks like in practice
Every family's plan is different. Here's what the conversation often sounds like.
Note: hypothetical scenarios, not specific client stories.

“We have enough saved. We just don't know if it's organized the right way.”
A couple in their early 60s with $2.5M across multiple accounts, unsure how to sequence withdrawals or coordinate Roth conversions. We map everything and help build a distribution plan that shows them, year by year, exactly how their money would work.

“Our advisor never brought up long-term care. We don’t even know if we need it.”
A retired professional with $3M in assets and no long-term care strategy. We walk through the real costs, the insurance options, and the self-funding math so they can decide based on information, not fear.

“We want our kids to inherit something meaningful, not a mess.”
A family with legacy goals but no coordinated beneficiary plan. We help organize the full picture—investments, insurance, and transfer priorities—so the people they love know exactly what to do next.

The founder
Meet Sangmin Kim, CFP®
Sangmin founded Wise Wealth Stewardship after nearly a decade in financial services and many more years of witnessing what money stress can do to a family. Growing up, he saw the weight of financial conflict—and what happens when families don't have someone in their corner.
That experience shaped a calling: to help families avoid the same pain. Not with more products or more noise, but with an advisor who tells them the truth, explains the options, and helps them steward what they've built. Today, he brings experience as one of the former top-performing advisors at Charles Schwab in Michigan.
